I spent twenty-plus years in regulated biotech manufacturing - starting on the floor as a bioprocess technician and lead, then more than a decade building the training and qualification systems behind GMP operations, including thirteen years at Genentech, a Member of Roche. That combination is the point: I design programs for technicians who have to hit a schedule and for investigators who have to see evidence.

The work has spanned six sites across three continents, biologics and human tissue operations, ownership of QMS training modules in MasterControl and SmartSolve, competency systems tracking 50 competencies across 120 technicians, and monthly capability reporting to C-suite leadership in Quality Management Review. Nine-plus regulatory and customer inspections - including FDA and AATB - with zero training-related findings.

I also build the systems I advise on. Aptivance, an AI career platform operated by Creation Matrix Solutions, runs structured interviews, generates application materials, and matches candidates against live listings. Building it is what taught me where these systems produce confident output that is wrong, and why every one of them needs a defined point where a qualified human decides.
